Global traveller, not for the faint hearted

When I see a Trend like this my whole heart contracts, just at the thought of the fashion roadkill that is about to visit our streets.  The idea behind it is an eclectic, ethnic exploration of the individuals life experience, here's a news flash - You can't achieve this look by accident, it is not as a friend of mine recently suggested a case of running full tilt at your wardrobe and seeing what sticks.  There is an artistry and a chemistry to getting it right.  As a result it's hard work, which I don't think fashion should be.  This is one of those trends I fully suggest you nod to but with sincerity ie if you have an item you bought on holiday and haven't worn since dig it out, no not the Giant Sombrero you got free with your fifth jug of Sangria.

I mean the beautifully printed Sarong you bought on the beach somewhere or the over sized piece of jewellery you bought in that little shop at the back of where ever.  When you are wearing this trend I fully advocate having a story for each piece, that story isn't the same if it starts with well I walked into Selfridges and they had this on a mannequin.  There are other Trends that might suit you better everything is not for everyone but I love the idea of people rediscovering things that they keep in their holiday drawers and wearing them to Sainsbury's.  Wear the sarong as a scarf or belt, if it makes you feel more confident.

The idea is an oversized clashing ensemble that looks as if whilst you were walking through the Sook parts of it decided they wanted to see where you were going.  Moving forward to Spring Summer 12 we see this trend in many different guises but in a much simpler way so if you thought it was just too much maybe the hints and nods that you have accumulated will feel just right in the very near future.
